My name is Kyriakos, and I draw because this is my favourite hobby.
I was born and raised on the Homeric island of ITHAKA Greece-Ulysses Kingdom. From a very young age, I loved capturing beautiful and special scenes with my pencils on paper. One of the people who inspired my love for painting was Mr.Errikos, or Errikos the Barlas- a wonderful grandfather and painter known for many oil paintings, mostly landscapes. However, due to age and obligations, I moved away from painting for many years. In recent years, though, I found my inspiration again, this time through the wife of a good friend and colleague, the amazing painter Ms. Ria Axelis, who introduced me to my wonderful teacher, Ms. Villioti Maria . Under her guidance, I developed a deep love for realism and working with color pencils. Although I am not a professional painter, painting is one of my favourite hobbies, and more importantly, it serves as my therapy, as I often tell my friends.
I have participated in a group exhibition organized by my teacher, Ms Maria Villioti.
I also took a part in colored pencil competition held in America in 2021 In Ann Cullbergs ColoR Pencil Magazine, I won second place with my work "The Abandonment", which depicts an old house from Ithaka.
